ADVISE consists of three elements:

  1. Air Force Feasibility Interviews and Researching Markets (AFFIRM) – This program, is based on the NSF I-Corps curriculum and has been adapted specifically for the civilian scientific and engineering (S&E) workforce developing solutions for the Air Force.  Learn more about our training here.
  2. ORTA training.  We train technology portfolio managers from the Office of Research and Technology Applications in viewing technologies through multiple lenses that extends and goes beyond standard Technology Readiness Levels.
  3. Participation in the annual Technology Scouting Workshop hosted by Innovation Node – Los Angeles (IN-LA).  This day-long program, co-hosted by the Dow Chemical Company, Vulcan Investments, and the National Science Foundation, attracts keynote speakers from Adobe, Boeing,DoCoMo, Google, M34 Capital, Pasadena Angels, and many other world-class innovators.  Teams that complete IN-LA courses may present to these speakers.
